public engagement with research
we are pro-actively engaged in the co-creation of knowledge for the greater good and we are always open to new ideas and collaborations.
view contentour academics generate knowledge and achieve impact in close collaboration with numerous organisations, institutions and individuals, regionally, nationally and internationally.

public lectures, seminars, workshops and festivals
mostly free and always fascinating, we offer a wide range of public engagement events throughout the year. our academics work with local partners such as the winchester science centre, and we host high-profile national events such as the annual peacejam uk, to name but a few.
we have a wealth of knowledge about the local and regional history, and our academics feature prominently in local annual festivals such as the bbc history weekend. this year, our annual participation in the winchester heritage open days is extra special as it has been largely led and coordinated by students on the ma cultural heritage and resource management (charm), as part of their course. and with virtual being the new normal, students and academics have risen to the challenge, with a cornucopia of podcasts, virtual walking tours, interviews and webinars launching between 11 and 20 sept.
